Ordinance: Alley Closure at Approximately 9 North Chicago Street (Madsen Park) ~ 2:35 p.m.

The Council will receive a briefing about indefinitely closing a portion of City-owned alley located at approximately 9 North Chicago Street (Madsen Park) running north/south mid-block between 1000 West and Chicago Street. The proposed alley closure is needed to consolidate all parcels that make up Madsen Park into one parcel to facilitate park improvements that are being funded by the Parks, Trails, & Open Space General Obligation Bond (GO Bond). This portion of the alley doesn’t provide access to nearby residents to their properties or to the park. Located within Council District 2.

Fiscal Year 2025-26 Budget: Metropolitan Water District  ~ 3:25 p.m.

Ordinance: Budget Amendment No.5 for Fiscal Year 2024-25 Follow-up ~ 4:15 p.m.

The Council will receive a follow-up briefing about Budget Amendment No. 5 for the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Budget. Budget amendments happen several times each year to reflect adjustments to the City’s budgets, including proposed project additions and modifications. The proposed amendment includes funding to cover remaining costs for the 400 South Bridge Reconstruction project, funds to repair homes in the Community Land Trust, additional funding for the Hive Pass program because of increased usage, and funding to expand the scope of a public restroom study.
